You have to start small right? I mean I can read blogs and talk to people and follow websites to get excited but we need to be real. This morning I asked my sister to follow me so I could leave my car on Ter Heun Dr. and then be dropped at Peterson farm off Woods Hole Rd. After consulting my map last night I figured it was only going to be a couple miles so I just brought water, a bowl and a spare leash just to be safe.
As we started off I got that feeling of walking away from my ride with no back up. I know this is small but it is big when you do it in a big place. Interesting feeling. I guess that is why you need to make sure you are prepared.

These guys greeted us and there were even a half dozen or so cattle dogs in the fence. Lilly was most interested in this Llama as it walked along the fence and the dogs barked at us. We were able to keep moving with little Llama Drama. ( hahaha, get it??)

After a round about through the woods we ended up here at Icehouse Pond. Here is where I sit in the silence and think. Sometimes that is good and sometimes that is bad but we will blog more about that next.
There are few markings and signs so we did get turned around a couple times but it is a small place so we got back to the car in about 3 miles with no complains and Lilly still walking on all 4 paws. That is rare this week unfortunately.
