The other night I was involved in a crazy walking tour of the Canal bike path which ended up being a great time and one of the most beautiful nights. I had never been on this side of the bridge but I saw a ton of cool things that I thought the girls would enjoy as well.
We loaded up our bikes yesterday and headed to
Scussett Beach State Park and we entered the bike path at this fishing pier. I had never seen this before as I usually stay between the
Bourne and
Sagamore Bridges on the Cape side.

As you can see Olivia rides like a
Nascar driver until she has to pull over to catch her breath and she is off like a maniac again.

At the end of the bike path you run into a nice bike parking lot and the entrance to the jetty which seems to go on forever.

The girls wanted to walk the whole thing but I wanted to head to the beach. I had packed some snacks and their bathing suits without them knowing so they were able to jump in the icy waves and chase away the birds.

While I was still strapping in Ava, Olivia was speeding away like a giggling fool to race me back to the car.

After our bike ride we headed home for some dinner and were on the road again. I am never off on a Wednesday night and
Falmouth has free movie night under the stars in Peg
Noonan Park so I wanted to try to make it. We arrived a few minutes late with our camping chairs only to find out the movie was not
Shrek but E.T. Now although I would have enjoyed E.T. it seemed to be cruising right over Ava's head. She was more involved in the popcorn man and the video game she was playing. So we packed up and headed home. The whole walk down Main Street back to our car she cried and begged to stay so I knew this was the right decision to make.
Teeth brushed, Pj's on and we were all asleep by 9pm in the big bed.
