The trip out to Old Silver Beach got the bug in me. It's cold but it is beautiful and I miss outside. I just noticed how light it is now until 5:30 almost. Yippee.
We headed out Sunday morning and walked along the boardwalk which is still intact after all these storms but has some warped sections. I thin Ava was getting a little wigged out. I have to hold her hand as we walked over the wavy part.
At the end there was no sand to support the steps to the beach on walkway and no stairs at all in another. We gently made our way down the dune to play on the beach. There were also sections where there were no dunes and the marsh was completely gone. Amazing the amount of damage this Winter has caused.
Snow boots ended up being perfect as we could play in the water a little and stay dry. We skipped rocks, collected shells and Liv even carved a heart of a piece of ice. She was so mad it broke in the end so she buried it in the sand to keep the 2 pieces together.
Once we left we ate lunch at the counter at Marshland and warned up.
