This is cemented as I send an email stating that I will not be the circus ringmaster of the Holiday Bazaar and I throw away the flyers begging for help at every event for 2 schools.
I did this crap for years. Sold tickets to the Spaghetti supper, took photos at the Halloween-fest, sold 100's of dollars in candles, pies and Girl Scout cookies.
Don't try to correct me because I am totally fine with it.
I get shit done but there is no muss or fuss. I just can't do it energy-wise, money-wise or sanity-wise.
I spent some time with a bunch of good families Saturday night. One in particular has a LOT of things going on medically. My needs pale in comparison to the emergency needs she has but in my scope they can be just important.
I am finding that if I have to do 547 things but I am poor, anxious and screaming at my kids than Yeah, No we aren't doing that. It just isn't that important. I guess I am learning my limits and theirs.
Again, I don't have such a firm grip all the time but for the most part I am a half-ass PTO Mom and I am okay with that.
P.S. Yes, I know Ava's hair isn't always brushed but hey we are a good family.
