I am always trying to find the right description for it and I am going with I am Sugar and Flour free.
I am not perfect. I am not buying special food that is sugar free but I am avoiding the obvious.
I am pretty much consuming protein, fruits, vegetables and fats. I am not measuring anything but I am eating every few hours.
I will say it was hairy for a little bit and I ate like a horse and drank mucho protein shakes to get me by but I haven't even licked a spoon or the cheek of a child.
I feel good.
I am also almost completely off coffee. I did this for a few reasons.
One was the creamer. I order milk while out but at home or work I LOVE flavored creamer. Show me some cinnamon roll creamer and I can drink a whole pot. When I started this I was logging my food to make sure I was getting in over 100 grams of protein. What I noticed was the biggest offenders still adding carbs and sugar to my diet were milk and creamer.
Second was probably the caffeine. I am doing a roller coaster of speed demon and sleep. Not good.
The funniest thing is the history of my coffee drinking. I never drank coffee, never liked the taste of coffee or mocha and my friends thought I was nuts. One day I started when I just did not have the energy or get up and go I needed to live my life. Little did I know that was the start of my blood sugar issues. I was dragging due to consuming sugar and the blood drop that ensues. Hey, more coffee!!!
On an upside I have lost 6 lbs without doing anything but this. That wasn't the primary goal but a welcome side effect that I did hope would happen. I would also like to be back to my post surgery weight but only if I can do it healthy and in a way that will last.
Updates to come.
