I feel like November and December were just horribly stressful. I am finally feeling like I can breathe.
So because the kids did not have school today and we had a morning doctors appointment I decided to use that as a starting point for an adventure. Basically, you are already out so let's just roll.
I miss doing this.
We sat in bumper to bumper traffic of course. Thank you Route 6 and the Sagamore Bridge in January but after that we sailed right Braintree and into the Lego Store.
Ava had a gift card from Christmas, I had a couple of extra bucks from Holiday pay and they had some cool free items. Sometimes they never seem happy but in the end they built Lego's all the way home.
I am happy because the ride was full of little girls ( and this big girl) singing and giggling for most of the day.
We also stopped at the train bridge which we love but they had never seen the Capeside of it. Then a long drive along Shore Rd took us to Old Silver just in time to see the sun slip below the clouds and into the ocean in a beautiful red, orange and pink puff.
My smile seems to be coming back. The real one that is connected to my heart. I have missed the smiles that I can feel in my cheeks and my eyes.
