Today was Ava's room and let me tell you I am thrilled to be peeling the plastic off all the windows and having the air flow in. Her room has 3 of the worst windows in the house and she is the furthest from the furnace so it seems she needed the plastic the most. Dreary and dark for the last 3 months. Next year I need to do a better job and do it earlier.
Anyway her room got moved around so her bed is in the "cove" and I plan on adding some lights to the ceiling. Hoping it feels magical to her. I was going to hang some curtains to really give it a tent feel but I am thinking she will be nervous and afraid about the darkness it might create so twinkle it is.
After this chore was done I had to be outside. It was 70! Again I packed snacks and told the girls to be ready for the beach.
We walked out to the beach at the Lowell Holly Reservation. I have never been here but read about it on the internet and never got around to it. What an awesome time we had. It added 1.5 miles to our week and we ended up being the only people on this open, clear and sunny beach.
Look closely, this is my non-reading girl reading as she walks. Are we turning a corner? She taught Ava lessons for the last 2 days of spelling and math. I don't care if you want to dress in a monkey suit, if you two get along and work on school work I love it.
Ava thought she was bringing this stick, more like tree, home. Um, No. It is about 12 feet long.
They are with Dad now so I get a few days of quiet but I will miss them. Mama's need some quiet time too though.
