Bricklayer

Sometimes the stress of this whole thing just starts to feel like a ton of bricks on my shoulders. Most days I can hold them up just fine with my hugantic muscles-LOL! This week the load is just so damn heavy.
I have a lot of pending things that I have no control over. I am really worried the house is going to be up for auction before I am ready. I am finding few places that are affordable to me and I do not have enough money saved right now anyway.
Can you say Hurry Up and Wait?!?!
I have been exercising regularly and I really think this is the only thing helping me to hang in there. Tuesday I headed out for a route that I do from the PD that is 2.75 miles. A decent workout that has a few small hills and I can get it done and still pick up the kids from the after school program. This day I was trying to work out a black cloud from Monday so I ran half of it. I was psyched. I cut 5 minutes off my previous time for this route and ran. Hell, I ran. Lungs and muscles felt pretty good. I took some breaks of fast walking and the recovery time seemed good for a rusty old bitch like myself. There is hope. I figure I will tackle it again and see how it goes.
Yesterday it rained. Pbbttt! Luckily when I got home it had stopped. I contemplated a ride on the couch but thought better of it and decided to ride my bike instead. I got dressed in clothes that I thought would keep me warm but didn't mind getting wet as there were still many puddles, iPod in and I headed out to do some miles.
This was another great route that was about 7.75 miles. It brought me by the ocean. I always forget the beach route in the Winter, you get caught up in just getting where you need to go. As I rounded the corner of Maravista I was taken by the swollen look of the ocean and the smell. How could I have avoided you for months? I am sorry.
I take where I live for granted too often. I am lucky enough to be a bike ride away from this.
You are going to have to bare with the negative posts for a little while longer. I know that the end result will be terrific but it is the paddle thru the storm that gets scary every once in a while.
So I will keep putting miles on my sneakers and I think it will take me where I need to be.
