Nom, nom, nom

Hello Folks!
Update on operation "Feeding of the soul".
I have been trying to go for quality instead of quantity in most things, besides overtime this week, and I think I am slowly succeeding.
These two things sort of go hand in hand now.
So I posted about wanting to write and I have been journaling a little bit. It is sort of funny. I am writing to myself but it is worded like my blog as if I am writing for others. I wonder what that will be like when and if I ever go back and read it. I never actually go back and read here either actually. It is as if I am writing to purge it and then I move on, well sometimes. Sometimes I have to write and bitch to death then I will move on.
Anyway, I received my 1st letter from a pen pal thanks to a FB friend who "pals". See I am catching on to the lingo.
Totally unrelated I jumped on the bandwagon of a Pay it Forward post of Facebook. In the post the 1st 5 people to respond that person has to send you a handmade gift my the end of 2012. The catch is you have to post it on your page and then you send those 5 people a handmade gift. Woohoo!
As a Thank You for starting this trend in my area of friends one of those people sent me a gift of handmade cards!!!
Do you see where this is going? Now I have these awesome beautiful cards to use in my pen paling.
I just love it.
Now I have to come up with a handmade gift. I asked my peeps if the gift could be food as that is where I produce the best "handmade" creations but the more I think about it that is sort of a cop out so I will be rethinking that.
Suggestions?
I am here for 16hrs so I should have plenty of time to search the Internet for some ideas. I am thinking about the ocean for my friend in PA. Everyone needs a little beach to make them smile.

Sounds good!!! I had to ignore those posts from the numerous 'friends' as I knew I couldn't commit. Trying to get through a dark-ish time here now as I start to curl up into my gloomy, winter ball. I also have lost my exercise coach (due to my favorite thing... money...) and am a little pissed about it. I know I can do all of that on my own, but it's not the same without her guidance and I haven't hit the pavement since the 1st. I am not backsliding on my good eating though, which is a plus.

I also used to journal. I used really large sketch books, but figured out quickly I am not an artist, so I would just write about nature, dogs, hurricanes, hikes, camping trips, etc. It's good for the mind. I should try to find them.
