Sometimes things need to be compromised for the sake of "The List". Today's compromise is brought to you by......sleep.
Friday night into Saturday I worked a surprisingly easy double shift. It is hard to say being in this box from Midnight until 4 pm is easy but I planned my food and trashy magazines well so it cruised by without many bumps.
Sunday morning I dragged myself out of bed just before the kids came back from Dad's and once I was dressed and they were busy playing I hit the ground running.
Got the garage cleaned up! Yes! It needs some paint but that it way far down the list, almost like off the list.
The lawn got mowed and fertilized. Unfortunately I got word that my weed whacker is dead and can't be resurrected so I will be scouring Freecycle and Craig's List.
The garden got cleaned up. I burned all the sticks we had piled up during the Winter in our fire pit, weeds got pulled and the scraps raked up and removed. Now all we need is for Grampa to come by and rototill it for us.
While all this was happening outside, inside I was cooking up some Kale soup. Got to keep this decent eating thing going.
As I type this I am back at work for another Midnight shift. My head hurts which is annoying but my muscles ache and that is always a good feeling.
Tomorrow is going to be a tough day which I will be tackling with no sleep. God, please don't let me cry.
It is the meeting with Olivia's school to discuss her evaluation. I got the packet and read it with my Mom tonight. It is not as bad as I had expected and many of the people involved said she is a sweet girl and she was a joy to work with.
That made me smile.
So the top of the list now just says:
OLIVIA
The rest of it is just trivial shit.
