Weekend Update with Fooseberry

This weekend was packed and I had a terrific time!
I am learning to make the best of my free time so when the kids are away Mom can play. I ending up meeting up with my sister and her friend after work Friday which was hilarious. Ever walk into a bar at midnight? You are sober and the crowd is trolling for their "last call" mate. We even saw a man take off his shirt and stand at the bar bare chested, until the bartender noticed of course. Hey give the guy a break he was advertising the merchandise-LOL!!! Also women, a little hint, if you are going to get shitfaced why wear those 4 inch tall flip flops? You know you are going to fall on your face and look like an idiot. I also learned about Washington Apple shots, delicious and I will share the recipe when I can locate it on the Net.
Saturday night about a dozen of us went out to celebrate your friends birthday and we went to his favorite place, the Brazilian Grill. What a good time! Not exactly a WLS friendly meal but if you can eat this is the place. Grilled meat on swords is brought around until you can't button your pants, as well as a huge buffet of salad, soups and side dishes. Bring your wallet and appetite to this place.
Sunday was full of birthday cake, family and friends but the kids were tired from their weekend at Dad's so bed was high on the list of things to do. It sounded good to me as well. PJ's and the Food Network was where it was at by 9pm.

This morning I decided I had better get off my ass if I was going to get going. I arrived at the bus stop ready for a run. I know a run, can you believe it? I have to go back and read my own blog as I can't remember when I ran last besides to avoid being run over on my way into Starbucks!

I am excited to say after my 5 min warm up I was able to run the 1st mile without stopping and it was just under a 12 minute mile. I will take that any day. I finished walking the remaining 2miles at a good pace and ended it all in about 42 minutes. My legs are soar and I might be holding my ass all day but I have 1 mile under my belt and that is 1 step off the couch. Now to see if we can do it again.

Tomorrow I did a swap so I am working the day shift. I have some plans in the evening so it will be a packed day unless I can get up at 6am no exercise will be done. Damn.

I am in the process of some major life changes and this week is the planning of it plus the numerous additions to the school year. I may have to start writing things on my hand. CCD, dance class, meetings, birthdays and Dad's away so no childcare in the afternoon Thursday or Friday. Oh work, Yeah we will fit 40 hours in here somewhere too don't worry. You wonder why coffee and Click have turned into a food group in my life.

Hold onto your hat as this week is gonna be a doozie.
