There has been so much hype about escaping the Cape or at least tying everything down and hiding in your closet that I forgot it would jump right back to normal once it was over~especially when I woke up to this bright sun shiny day. The prep sure outweighed the outcome but if you didn't batten down the hatches it would have been a cat 4 storm. That is just the way the cookie crumbles.
So when I jumped on Rt 25 headed home and ran smack into this ^ you can imagine the swears I was saying. All due to my lack of planning so I could do nothing but cuss myself out.

It was a beautiful day and I just wish I had the time to unload the kids at the beach as the waves were kicking, instead we opted for the playground and an ice cream cone. Days off are around the corner and I am just looking for a nap at this point. Tomorrow we will be working on lining up the school clothes, backpacks, lunch boxes, etc and seeing where the holes are. I think we have a bit of everything so we can survive the 1st week and we will plug the missing pieces in over the next few weeks. She needs boots and a jacket but I think in this weather we will be fine for now.
Oh and she is turning into a little fashionista-"Mom, please don't buy stuff without me. I need to pick out my own stuff."
Good Lord what lies ahead? She is only 7.
