Olivia's first day was Tuesday and she was dressed and ready at 7am. She added all the jewelry herself and looked like a movie star. She wanted a ride as she became increasingly nervous about where she was going and where her classroom was so I agreed we would tackle it together. After she surveyed all the kids getting in line in the school lobby she asked for help removing some of her jewelry-sad but peer pressure starts at a very early age. I wish I had the confidence to give to her but I don't. When she stepped off the bus-hair was down, jewelry off and a huge smile-That is my girl!

Today was Ava's first day and she couldn't be more excited. She climbs into my bed most mornings and today's 1st words were the best-So Momma, today is zero days until my 1st day of school? while she holds up her fist with no fingers out. She is awesome sometimes.
The next photo is killing me because I think Olivia looks so old. She is doing well and off to a quick start with some serious homework and we are only a few days into the year.

As we were walking back from putting Olivia on the bus Ava's showed up. She was on that bus and latching her own seat belt before I had a kiss good bye or anything. I stepped on the bus to hand her a sweat shirt and she was like-Later, Mom.

I guess she had a good day. Auntie and I were waiting in the driveway when she pulled up and her face was beaming. She was so happy and stepped off the bus and face planted in the driveway. D'oh! Poor Kid. She was vague about her day but sang a little song and was off to play.
She wolfed down her lunch and was off to water my plants and cable box to "help" me. See things change but not that much.
I want to update you on my 1st day of school as well. It was full of a NAP! Best damn day ever. I was jolted out of sleep by a few phone calls which I normally would have ignored but now with 2 kids out of the house who knows what type of emergency calls I might get. Luckily I was able to get right back to sleep. Alarm went off at 11:30 am and I was off for the day. Can't beat that!
