These are my helpers. You can see how helpful they are. This hammock was not assembled but tucked behind the couch so once the couch and other furniture left I put it together to see if we had all the pieces. It is now where they watch TV while I work my ass off.
I am not a good planner when it comes to projects. I decide, I get some stuff together and I get to work. This was still the case when I started this room. I did not measure or anything. I looked at a few colors, asked for the best paint to cover mystery stains and I bought it. I was just about here when I looked at the bottom of an empty can. PHBBBT! I had not taken into account that the room is pretty long and I was painting all sides of it besides the floor.

The color, Titanium, is just enough to tone down the stark flat white of the whole room without being a real statement. It needs some touch ups as the walls are textured and it didn't roll into all the crooks so tomorrow I will walk around with the roller and fix the random Holidays.

Oh and the best part is I make it all the way to the other end of the room and I have 1 small wall and again I run out of paint. FML! As you can see I also broke two rollers while tackling the ceiling. I am a warrior painter! This must also be why my back hurts so badly right now. So not only did I return to buy 1 quart I had to by a super industrial new roller to finish up.

Right in the nick of time before I left for work the job is just about done. The painting part anyway. You can see from my random photos that there is a lot of stuff still up there. When I came down for a drink or to round up the kids I carried something down. I randomly posted a few things on Freecycle but it is really not my stuff so I am just going to work slowly.
Now onto the carpet, I want to rent a steam cleaner and use 1/2 a solution of bleach. I do have to admit that just by washing the floors and painting it is already a much better smelling room than it was but the carpet needs some help. This may be the weekend project as the kids will not be around.
Look for the invite to the Cupcake Christening party soon.
