Today everyone stayed home. The kids were hacking and sputtering and I figured we would save the other kids at school the joy of our dirty tissues and not covered coughs. After a while I started to feel incredibly cramped with 2 kids sick but not dead and a bear of a Dad sleeping upstairs. I loaded them up with every box of dead cereal we had and headed to the beach. Maybe it was wrong by old school standards but I figured the salt air might do them some good. We feed a crazy group of seagulls and them walked along Woodneck beach looking at cool rocks and even finding a lonely Starfish. When we were kids if you didn't go to school you weren't allowed to exit the house unless it was to go to the Doctor but I am not sure how my Mom did it because I might just off someone if they stay home many more days.
We stopped at Mary Ellen's and got Dad some Kale soup and Olivia and I had regular old Tomato with grilled cheese. Ava is doing the best but isn't eating much right now. That is usually how she rolls when she isn't feeling well.
I am hoping for a better day tomorrow with less cough that sounds like a walrus in the next bedroom. Wish me luck!
