Even after being awake for about 18 hours I was game for this. I knew we would have fun but I had no idea how much fun.
Nope, we're not a little excited hanging in the lobby wait to get our seats.
I wish I could have taken some pictures of how close we were. The 2nd row couldn't have been more than 3ft from the stage. This means there were a lot of instances where they leaned out into the audience and into our faces. It also meant we really needed these plastic ponchos.
I hope the girls and my Mom enjoyed it as much as I did because I know I laughed my ass off for a good portion of it and when not laughing I chair danced to the music.
I am a big proponent for gifts that allow us to "do Stuff" and this was a perfect example.
We arrived early enough that we were able to walk around the city for about an hour. Once we crossed into the park we had a decision to make-Which way?? This means we ended up splitting up but I think it worked out in everyones favor. nana, Chelsea and Olivia got to see all the Christmas lights and Ava and I headed to the playground by the Frog Pond. We never did end up there because in the distance we saw maybe 10 dogs running around like lunitics so of course we right straight there. It turns out Boston Common allows off-leash dog play in this area and we showed up at a great time. We got to play and get sniffed by about 10-12 dogs. Ava's dream place. We even met a dog that was an exact real-life Scrappy Doo. He was even a little asshole like Scrappy.
Oh and Ava even got a piece of Blue-man art. They held a canvas over the drums while they splashed paint everywhere then handed it to her as part of the show. Clearly this will be hung up immediately when she gets home tonight.
