Someday they may read this blog and I might regret some of what I have written here but it's the truth. I wish I could better for my kids. For the amount we sacrifice for work I really think there should be a plus side. I hope someday they remember the good stuff way better than the parts we lacked or maybe not see it as a lack at all....that would be so nice.
Anyway, Olivia liked this bike about six months ago so i took a picture of the tag and stowed it away. Of course once her birthday came the bike is like MIA at an Toys R Us on the eastern seaboard.
Pbbbtttt!
I was able to locate it in Brockton of all places and Nana came to the rescue to make sure her birthday was a hit. I can't thank her enough for her help with both girls birthday's. neither would have occurred without her.
Olivia wanted to be with her Dad this year so I decided to give her her bike early and before school so she would have time to ride it before she left for the weekend.
Needless to say she is barely home now and rides all hours of the day and night.
Her choice was dinner at Friendlies and we had a really sweet ice cream cake as well.
I can't believe she is 12. She has grown into a smart, sweet, funny girl who I can't wait to see more of as she grows up.
