Cape Cod Canal

It has been a busy week in third grade and our life. Thursday we had a field trip to the canal to see how they manage traffic through the canal and learn about it's history. I have been on this one before and find it very interesting.
Outside we played a game showing how the moon affects the tides which in turn affects the canal and it's traffic. Once again I learned facts like using the canal saves ships 8-10 hr of travel but you can"t be more than 135 ft tall or longer than 800 feet. 
As you can see the weather saw beautiful and the group of kids were great. 
Needless to say I took a nap after this.
