Checking shit off the list

All this work is pushing regular stuff back.....like way back.
It's a good thing the current fashion is mis-matched socks because we are rocking that like crazy.
Today I am finally getting back to normal. Just in time to work another overnight double shift but the last for a while.
Today I got some stuff done. Appointments booked, laundry folded, bills paid, budget plan scribbled out.
It feels good to get stuff done. Well if not done at least a plan to get it done and soon.
Monday is the estimated day I will get my tax refund. I am scared. I plan every year to get my shit together and it never seems to be enough. This year I have combined working my ass off with this so I might actually do it. Scary because I may just spend all of it without much of a cushion and because my current plan to stay on track really shows how tight my financial situation is. I have been juggling for ever and just holding it together. I need to change that. One of my goals for this year that I talked about a while ago was financial. I will pay bills, spend a little to make our living a bit more comfortable ( we desperately need a new grill as that is how I cook 1/2 my meals) and book a couple camp sites to ensure some family fun. As I think more about it, I am afraid I am going to screw it up. Like after I pay bills I have about $100 a week. I need to use that wisely. Like carry that as cash. When it is gone, it is gone. Do not dip into money needed for cable, rent, ect. I know that sounds easy to you but I have never learned the correct way to budget and save. I am self taught and I suck at it. I have tried some classes but it is hard to make a plan when you are -2 months behind in everything. So I guess clean slate, pay it all up and keep up.
Next thing I would LOVE to do and talk about all the time. Trash bags. Open a drawer, cabinet, closet and empty it into a trash bag. I could donate if manageable but I find that that is part of what prevents it from getting done so I may just trash it and move on. Because I hate waste and work hard for everything the thought kills me but I also look around and think what the hell. We don't even know what we have it is stacked and tucked and boxed away. Maybe just start with a shelf.
I'll let you know how that goes.
