Waterfire with a side of roller derby!

Somehow the stars lined up that a full Waterfire happened to be on the same night as a Providence roller derby bout and the best partner in crime for adventure was available.
Sure I say, Let's do it.
I don't know why but I love the city, any city really, at night. Walking the streets in the Summer just feels good. Add the smell of fire, great street food and I am a happy girl.
This fire was pretty packed so maneuvering around was a challenge but I am happy I finally made one this year. It is on my Summer bucket list every year but last year I did not make it.
Back to roller derby. After hiking around the same block about 4 times we found phone GPS sucks and we were across the street the whole time. Cool thing-It was an outdoor rink so I got to enjoy the evening outside even more as the sun set.
The people watching was awesome. Derby's attract an interesting and diverse crowd.

After a tough battle and a 1 point lead the Mob Squad won. Phew!! It was a last minute decision while the referees made the decision.
Found GREAT Mexican food that kept me in the food I need to eat and then a stroll.
