I think Bonnie and I have driven by this place but I didn't know anything about it. It was beautiful and we saw so many different landscapes as we walked across a marsh, then and island with woods and out onto the beach. It was like an untouched gem.
The museum was fun too. They have 2 floors of displays. Downstairs we saw fish, turtles, jelly fish and lobsters all alive in tanks. There was a hallway of all local birds of the area. They explained the shells and different egg sacs we would find on the beach.
Upstairs we saw bees, a shark display and used binoculars to explore the march and birds outside.
For a large group of 1st graders there were points of wrangling them in but for the most part they were excellent and we had fun.
Another great trip for me where I actually learned stuff.
