Boston Common

I had yesterday off. The weather was going to be great. I decided on an impromptu road trip.
At first the girls were like, No. We can go to the playground, Sphors's garden, etc.
I said we can do that after school any day so let's do something we have a day to do it.
We did do the playground.

It just took a little car ride and a ride on the T to get there.
We also rode the carousel, swan boats, got licked by every random dog we could and got a little sunburned. It was an awesome day.

At this point I am thinking the day can't get any better but I am starving so we set off to find some lunch. As we walk along the streets towards Quincy Market Ava would like to know what all those people are going in the graveyard. I tried to explain in my own uneducated way that those are famous and very old graveyards of Patriots who started this country. ( No, clue but I obviously looked smart to her and need Olivia to hurry up and get to 7th grade history so I can re-learn it.)
I wish we had more time but they got to enjoy a few different street performers.

Up until this point we have had a pretty frugal day. I am carrying a backpack full of anything we may need on foot in the city and the only money have spent was T fare, a shark tooth necklace for Ava and a few bucks for lunch at Subway. And then the joy of the day took over and I just blew it.
We got 4:30 tickets to the Big Apple Circus. It was so awesome. I love the big Ringling Bros at the Garden but nothing beats a little, dog and pony, acrobat, 2 clown kind of circus.
Every dollar was worth sitting in the dark and hearing Olivia giggle her ass off next me.

I have been feeling a little unadventurous lately. This took care of that. I am coming into a long stretch of work with a double shift next Sunday and it being Dad's weekend so this was much needed. I can't express how much fun we had and how much I love them. I hope you see it in these pictures.
Now back to local after school adventures in our own back yard.

Very nice pictures! Boston is a place I've always wanted to visit. And yes, the people in the pictures do look like they are enjoying a wonderful day.
