I am teetering left and right.
I have no one to ask, seek approval of or help me decide.
I am shopping for a "different" car. I refuse to use the word new as it will most likely have 100k miles and dents.
I have listened to every opinion or tale of some car they know is for sale. I am on a budget and beggars shouldn't be choosers but wouldn't it be nice to get a cool car I kind of like?
Am I acting like a 50 year old man looking at a red corvette?
I want to go back to a Volkswagen because that is what I know and trust. A roller skate of sorts would be fine.
I then begin to worry about the Winter weather and I see my flashers on and a snow bank bigger than my skate so I go back to something 4 wheel drive without the enormous hunger for gas most SUV's have.
Still available when I get all the money together? We'll see about that.
The big issue here is this:
The car is a metaphor for my future.
I can chose any road I want. I DON'T have to ask anyone, seek anyones opinion or get permission. Let's look at this in a different sort of light. If I buy this car and it isn't the right one, is anything horrific going to happen? Nope. Learn from that and move on.
I have this lingering feeling that I am not going to make the right decision but in reality is there a wrong decision? I can always either drive thru the woods to cut back to the road or I might find myself on a road I never knew existed.
Isn't that so frigging exciting?!?!

Love the Jeep!! Horrible on gas, and I mean HORRIBLE!! But, yes it is cool!!!
