Summer sucesses

It is easy to talk about what you shoulda-coulda-woulda done for the Summer.
I am taking the slower route and am enjoying myself and my daughters immensely.
Last week was a great example.
Wednesday was a regular beach day at Old Silver that afforded 3 Mom's and 11 or so kids a great day.
Thursdays have been used for appointments and sort of a free day that I try to leave open to any other plans.
Last Thursday I had promised a playground day which morphed into a day full of all kinds of stuff.
We started out by signing up for Fall soccer at the rec building which afforded us a half an hour or so on the playground there.
We next headed to the Library where we played and read for a bit.
Since I was the only one starving I convinced them it was a great day to picnic on the front lawn.
If you ever saw the amount of bruises this child has on her legs this photo will explain a lot. Her newest past time is this:

Ava hooked herself up with a girl named Greenley for some tag and then bumped into Gavin from preschool who was also picnicking on the Library lawn. He will be with her in Kindergarten in a few weeks.
We picnicked, played and pet some random dogs then headed to The Mullen Hall School for playground #2. This got everyone hot and sweaty enough that we decided to hop into Aunt Cindy's pool before running class.
Yes, we are still doing running class on Tuesday and Thursday's. 1 week left and they are running a half mile trail run out and back. Who would have thought she would still be doing it but she is and I am extremely proud of her for trying. At the end she fell and scraped her knee pretty good so she sat out the last 10 minutes but it is miles from what I expected she would do.
I know it sounds like a crazy amount of stuff but it really felt like a lazy day that we just came up with as we went.
I took a few extra days off this week and it was a great break. I am back to work for 2 double shifts in a row and then back on days off.
Keep your eye out for a blog on our trip to the Boston Museum of Science on Wednesday. I think I may be more excited than they are.
