Fenway is magical.

Even if we get creamed it is more than worth the experience. The last time I was there my Step-dad took me and I was about 15 years old. I remember we sat in the bleachers and I came home with a sunburn. I also remember he told me the only way to get there and avoid the crowd was to cut thru the park.
This time I wanted to enjoy the thick of it. We took the train in from Braintree and that was an adventure in itself.

This is the fantastic view from our seats. My smart sister got tickets under some cover in case it rained but it was the most beautiful Spring night. The wind blew a bit but we survived with just a sweatshirt and a couple of Sam Adams Summer Ales.
Later in the game when the score became split by more than 10 points people just started pouring out. I took the photo below to show the empty section which was full about an hour before. This was in the 8th inning.
With respect for Gary and the Red Sox, we didn't. We toughed it out until the end and saw a score of 16 to 5. This was sad but it was still an incredible time. I will go again and I will take my kids when they are older. If you are from New England you need to see Fenway. It was an awesome mix of new and old and it was beautiful.

At the end of the game we still had time to sit at a window seat of Boston Beer Works and see the place empty out before we ran to catch the last train home. This photo above is their Blueberry Ale with a dose of fresh blueberries floating around. I know it sounds weird but I am a fan of both blueberry beer and coffee. This had a nature blueberry flavor that I haven't had in any other blueberry beer. They actually had signs up for other seasonal beers and one said Watermelon Ale-not sure if I have the guts for that but Summer is coming.
Next time we will definitely go early to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere. I never got to see the peanut salesman with a peanut dangling from his ear or walk through the souvenir shops.
I may have just become a baseball fan!!
Oh and a giant Thanks to my Sister Wife for taking me. I am such a Cape Cod girl now I would have been lost on a T train somewhere in Dorchester.
