Hell on Wheels

In my last post I had a pretty adventurous list of things I wanted to do.
I added a few overtime shifts at the last minute, a sick kid and a costly car repair to make it all so typical of my life.
I was going to break it into many posts but instead I will just ramble through it all and drag you along.

To start-if you are the person who gave my daughters these Build-a-bears I curse the day you were born. If you have children I will give them a bead set with 2,000 small parts next year for Christmas. It said 6+ but truly it was 26+. It was too difficult for them so I was forced to sew them both and it was not fast enough. They did think it was funny to stuff the poly fill in the bears butt so there ended up being some laughs involved. It took me a little over an hour while they went on to destroy other parts of the house.
As you can see they took my picture as to show my happiness with our craft project. (If you can't feel the sarcasm here-you don't know me)

Sunday was a whole different day as I now had a small child who was "frowing up" and had a temp. She also had a pretty dress and refused to stay home. I got her hair done, dressed her up and headed to Liam's Baptism. She slept in my arms like this all day. After leaving Liv with Gramma and Grampa because she was still partying I passed her off to Nana for some much needed Advil and love and headed to work.
1st day off-Phew.

Monday was full of Advil, TV and laundry. We hung low so she could get better. She usually kicks these things fast. She stopped throwing up but also hadn't eaten more than a Popsicle since Saturday night. I wish I could get sick and not eat for 4-5 days. My A$$ could use it.
Another overtime shift came up last minute so off they went and off I went again. Gramma's love heals all.

By Tuesday she was feeling better and they both had been wearing their bathing suits since last night so we kept our swimming date. Each year is is usually a tradition to get together with our friends and go to the Holiday Inn for swimming. It helps kill the winter blues at least for a few hours.
I have to admit she hung tough and swam for a couple of hours. It was a blessing at bedtime for all of us.

Wednesday we had a dentist appointment so we used it as an excuse to hit a playground that they kids love. We bundled up and went to the castle at West Barnstable Elementary. I wish I had more pictures but we were too busy playing hide and seek.

Now you know how I love excitement in my life (Yeah, Thanks). So as a special gift I took the girls to Kmart to get an electric griddle. See my Chef Olivia loves to cook breakfast and made a big family breakfast for us yesterday. She cooked eggs and pancakes and set the table for  the 3 of us to sit down. She had used one at my cousin Patty's house so she thought she needed her own." You know Mom it is bigger and I can make tons more pancakes." Mama does love some pancakes.

On my way out of Kmart my wheel was cut tight in the parking spot and I was able to see something like what you see below. It is called a fucking death trap. That is not the actual tire, I was so flabbergasted I didn't take a picture. I recently have put some money into my car-wheel bearing, tie rod, u joint....you get the point. I was thinking about doing the alignment soon. Well, lesson learned. In the month I was putting it off due to all these other repairs my truck chewed off 2 tires. They weren't brand new but were about a year old. I had noticed the car driving bad but thought something else must be shitting the bed.
Needless to say any extra cash I was getting in my refund on Friday would not be going for Monster Truck tickets, it would be going into wheels. After 2 new tires on the front the old girl is driving normal again and Monday morning I will be parked at Battles until they can get it back into alignment. Good Golly Miss Molly!
But on a final note:we got invited to a sweet bowling/birthday party on Sunday and dinner with our family and friends at Andrea's house after so Sunday will be great fun and not cost us much money. See it all works out in the end.
