Her Mom "needed some time" or that was at least how Ava described it to her. Funny what they hear and extract from grown up conversations.
Anyway her Dad handed me some cash and we were out the door. Now what cool things could we do with this cash? We parked at Walmart and jumped on the trolley to Woods Hole.
We found some lunch at Jimmy's across from the Steamship Authority. 3 girls on 2 stools giggling and eating PB and Fluff sandwiches. I didn't think you could get one of those at a restaurant only your Mom makes those. Anyway Carlie said yes but it turns out she didn't know what it was or just really didn't like it. Shucks I will have to eat it for you, Thanks.
After a quick look at the schedule and finding out that the little ones would be free I loaded them onto a boat and we were off the MV. I wish it had been Oak Bluffs so we could look at the gingerbread houses and ride the carousel but it was bound for Vineyard Haven. It was still an adventure as you can see.
The boat docked at 2pm and the next boat was either 2:30 or 5pm so we ran up the block and got giant ice cream cones and ran back to the boat. About the quickest trip to Martha's Vineyard I have ever had. I should have ducked into the pub for a treat myself but you can't leave a child or 3 outside for long before they call the cops so I settled for a small M&M cone instead.Ok so her clothes probably needed to go into the trash by the time we took her home but she almost fell asleep on my arm on the trolley ride back so that in my eyes is a good day.
