Today was the 1 week anniversary of the whole bloody mess and time for the stitches to come out. After a battle and a peek with the Doctor wearing his head lamp, we found out it was only 2 stitches but a lot of knots. I took that as "a mess".
She began to throw one of the biggest drama festivals I have ever seen and the Doctor actually left. He had another emergency and I needed some slapping around time. No really, I know how this child works so I waited for a nurse to come around and I asked if we could check out their selection of band aids. See in our house your arm could be hanging off but if you put on a Sponge Bob Band-aid, all is good.
After picking out some sparkle band aids and agreeing she could sit on my lap we were going to try it again.
Surprisingly, she watched the whole thing and remained pretty calm once the scissors and what he was doing was explained. She is NOT her Father's daughter. He would have passed out in the waiting room.
The Doctor also was kind enough to give her the two stitches in this jar to carry around and show everyone. I call it her Badge of Courage!
I believe this is going to be one of the many adventures I have with Ava Flava.
