I actually can't remember how long it has been since I had a sweet(as my girl Carla would say). I had to go back and read my own blog to check the date-March 25th. I have not been perfect on the absolutely no grain thing but I am ok with it. I have had a Burrito from The Burrito Place
but you can chose a whole wheat wrap and brown rice and I had 1 wrap from the Box lunch. These are pretty much my 2 favorite places to eat. Other than that no bread, pasta or candy.
Shocking I know. The plus side is I have checked my sugar only a couple of times since then and everything is going smooth. I also have not woken up in the morning in the cold sweats(scary because that means I had a sugar crash in my sleep-dangerous), have not had the shakes or fallen asleep during Scooby Doo due to a sugar crash.
I now learning what real exhaustion feels like and it still sucks but it is better than the sugar nod off any day. I have had a few days where I have a craving so I am leaning heavily on a nice Click/vanilla bean protein shake to fight off the peanut butter squares. I am not counting calories at all. I will not jinx myself and even make a statement about what the scale says without bread. I will update on that another time-it is too soon. This carb addicted body is going to need more time to adjust to spaghetti squash in place of good old ravioli.
Packing some fruit, cheese and green beans for the Disney Princess show tomorrow night. I can't image a fast food stand is going to have anything I can touch with a 10 foot pole.
