Things you are "SUPPOSED" to do

Apparently I am bogged down with the things I am "supposed" to do. My life is littered with things I think I need to do or I feel intense guilt or stress if I don't. The worst part is most of these things are just out there-Like things that you have heard-Do _______ because I said so, because it is the right thing to do or it is my responsibility.
Mr. FB is always saying I was told what to do all my life as a child and now I am an adult and I will do what I want. I just cringe. He does things I ask because he loves me but his patience for this is getting thin I think.
Today I was talking about this and the person pointed out that in about 45 minutes I mentioned "supposed to" almost 20 times. So the solution is to come up with a valid reason why I am supposed to do this thing. If I can come up with a reason why I "need" to do this thing then yes I am "supposed" to do it. This is going to be harder than it sounds I think.
I admit I have fallen off the running map in the last 2 months. I have a number for the Falmouth Road Race and it is rotting in the back of my mind. I am not sure I am using it but have been told to try it and so I might. My cousin pointed out that I am giving up a "me" things when aren't I supposed to be doing things for me? Here we go again. I start to feel the stress. I am supposed to be doing things for myself so I guess tomorrow I am going to find time to start running again because I should. See how it happens to me?
No, my plan is to do swimming lessons and pretty much nothing else. Everyday I get up and make breakfast and do some things around the house. I lather on the sunscreen and pack some snacks or a full lunch. I leave my beach chair and the buckets in the car now and we add some clean towels and our beach bag of snacks. Off we go. I sit in the chair chatting with my friends and deflecting whining beach fights for a few hours and then he head home because it is usually time to get dressed for work.
That is it-That is my plan for the next 4 weeks. If I run great - if I don't Oh Well.
I love this idea. If it rains then I may do a deeper house cleaning but don't count on it.

Work and kids -- that's it. You're not really "required" to do anything else. And you know if you were able to -- you'd be just kids. That's a lot of beach time. :)
