These shifts are brutal if not prepared.I did not get enough sleep last night. (bed at 1:30 am and awoken at 6am with requests for breakfast) After a bowl of Fruit loops and the TV babysitter I managed to get about another 45 minutes on and off. I napped for 2 hours after lunch so so far, so good. I do have 8 hours left so the quality may decline rapidly in about 4 hrs. My friends that do this all the time have my respect and awe. I could not do this all the time. First of all - I am starving and I have a yogurt and a small amount of cheese and crackers left. Not good with a hellish vending machine out back. Good part is hopefully no one will return so I can never get to the m&m's in that machine. I am looking for a pizza delivery if you know of anyone in Mashpee.
I have 2 more devilish shifts coming up in August as this seems to be a sign of the times. You just can't work enough in my world. Next time I will make a pot roast and bake a pie.
