Today I ventured out in the pouring rain to meet another person on Freecycle. If you aren't into Freecycle- check it out.

People list items they have to give away or things they want. It is a great way to recycle things and keep them out of the dump. I have given away tons of plus sized clothes after I shrunk a bit, some baby items and all of my maternity clothes. These items were picked up by local people and not used for profit from some company off Cape.
I was also able to avoid a yardsale which was my intent but I just couldn't find the time.
So go and check it out. You do have to join the group and although this link is to the Cape Cod group there are Freecycle groups nationwide.

I got a huge market umbrella and stand from some lady in mashpee today. And I have given away tv's (working and not working), toys, kids clothes, etc.
I just found out about this site yesterday and so far I love it...someone was even giving away tickets to a baseball game tonight. I really love the whole idea behind it...I just wish I knew about it sooner
as a recepient of some of your larger sized clothes - i am much obliged! and so was the person I freecycled them on to when I didn't fit in them anymore.
