This is how we started our day. Hanging with our buddy. Ava did some training and walked him outside while Liv preferred to just chill out. I am not sure he knew what hit him because when we were leaving he was sleepy eyed and curled up next to his Dad.
Hungry bears needed some dinner. They were a little Angry beaver-ish when we left Dave's so food was the first thing we needed and look what we walked into. Pizzeria Uno was having a kids party and balloon drop at 5pm. Food in belly and a champagne toast was just what we needed to have a little celebration. I had nothing up my sleeve so this gave them a little jazz.
This picture is a bit blurry but captured the changing tide in our family. I am not sure what to do with a pre-teenager. Mom, this is a little lame was all I can see in her eyes. No hat, no champagne, barely a smile.
Once we got home they were all about reading the memories we put in these cans. We started this a long time ago, longer than I remembered. Most of them were dated 2013 so apparently we hadn't read them last year. A clear sign that time flies. The cans were tucked on a shelf and forgotten.
I couldn't help but cry. Sad that some of my noted eluded to my life not being so happy and tough although I don't remember why. Theirs mentioned loving there friends and their mom. I am good with that.
When we were done we took out the old and started fresh with a note about the upcoming year and we put the tickets to the movies from tonight in. I was thinking we should try to remember to add things like that. It would help us remember the great things we did over the year if we added the stubs.
