When the kids go with their Dad I usually am hurried and just looking for a break. This week, Dad picked them up from school. This affords me the chance to cut out some of the craziness of picking them up, packing them and getting them to Dad but it also adds another day that I don't see them. Friday was a.....shitty ass day-no other way to describe it. I was a wild single lasy and in bed at 8pm. Sometimes that is the best medicine.
In any case by Sunday afternoon I had recharged my batteries a bit and I missed them. Olivia had gotten a bunch of gift certificates to Justice and their Mega-sale was ending Monday so I decided we were headed to the Mall. After getting some really cute clothes and a disco ball (hey it was her money) we headed to main Street for some food and tourist time.
These two crazy girls picked a hot dog joint which allowed us to sit on a picnic table on the street. Perfect Summer time kind of night.
Ahhh, the candy store. They each got a basket and filled it with stuff. Olivia's basket $9.50-Really kid? God thing I find your freckles irresistable. I snuck in some ribbon wands so they could dance like a princess down Main Street. All fine and well until Ava tries to stop traffic by waving it at cars while we crossed. I had to then explain she would be Flat Ava shoertly until she moved her ass along.
We ended our night with a stop and Aunt Cindy's and found the dune buggy was up and running. Of course we were about 5 minutes away when Olivia and I ran out of gas and had to call for rescuing. LOL! Once we got some gas in the old girl we continued our ride and then Ava had her turn. Remember to bring a sweatshirt and hair elastics if you ever come along.
Fantastic doesn't even begin to describe this day. Great start to an awesome Summer.
