The girls had no school on Veteran's Day and I have been wanting to get back to the New England Aquarium. The last time I was there was before Ava was born or maybe she was an infant and Olivia was sort of too little for it to be fun.
This turned out to be an awesome age to go.
We secured some Library passes. If you don't know what these are-FIND OUT! With our Library card we are able to get discount or sometimes free tickets to certain museums, aquariums or zoos. It make trip way more affordable, with the pass we were able to get in for $10/person instead of 22.95 per adult and 15.95 per child.
We also were super excited to have our friends Carlie and Bonnie with us as well. They have never been.
These photos are of Liv and Ava in a small river type set up where they could see and touch starfish, crabs and horseshoes crab. Anything where you get wet is definately fun.
The center is a ramp that winds around the main tank and for whatever reason I was never able to get anything better than a butt shot of this turtle. I chased him for most of my trip.
This photo was a favorite and I was sure to print it and send it to school with the girls so they could tell their friends about our trip.
A new just opened exhibit in the basement inclused a touch tank with bull nose sharks and ray. It you sat still and held your hand out flat they would swim right up and let you rub them like cats. Luckily the stingers were cut off these little guys so no one could get hurt. I will admit I squeeled a bit whn my hand touched the slimey back of the ray. Yes, I am 8yrs old on the inside.
Here are 2 of the most beautiful girls in the world walking across the pavillion to see the 3D movie Under the Sea. I have never been to an IMAX theatre and I do not know why. It was awesome and all we saw was fish.
We left early in the morning and returned late into the night but it was fantastic.
Next up is the Enchanted Village in a few weeks.
