Olivia pulled out a final loose tooth (for a while anyway) and it was placed in her tooth fairy bag on her door.
As I kissed her good night she asks "Mom, is there really a tooth fairy?"
Of course, is my response because I am not ready to get over the Holiday spirits that I love so much.
Olivia - "All my friends say the Tooth Fairy is your Mom."
Sigh.... I lean in close and whisper-Sometimes Mom has worn the Tooth Fairy wings but that is a secret only for big kids to know so let's not tell Ava yet. She hugged me, I winked and I left her tooth on the door.
Of course she still got the loot and I kept the tooth in my secret Tooth Fairy place.
I guess Santa will be next.
She is 8, which is going on 18 in this world but it is my first loss of a childhood tradition and it sucks a little.
Let us bow our heads in grief...sniff.
