Friday night was awesome! Thank you Mom for the tickets and the date.
We had dinner at the Olive Garden-which is a favorite for us girls-then on to the Melody Tent to see Melissa Etheridge. If you have never been there in the Summer it is like nothing else. It is Cape Cod. The stage is small and rotates so everyone gets a good look but the couple of times I have been there it has also been about 125 degrees ( or so it felt). This night was no different.
The music was incredible with my only regret being I didn't know much of the new stuff. I added it to Pandora Radio and have been jamming ever since.
I will also say the drunk guests were almost just as entertaining-HALF SHIRTS!
Inside joke that we will be repeating forever.


I am not sure why I feel like a 25 year old kid lately but I am trying to reacquaint myself with the person I used to be and mesh it with the person I am now. This is going OK but I am seriously lacking sleep. After the concert my sister and I decided we were not ready for home but we had no car as mine was still in the shop. As low-rent as this may sound our Mom agreed to drop us off at the Chinese food place just down the road and we would walk home after.
Understand-This is not something I would normally do. I was actually pretty scared but hey you can't have fun unless you take a chance. After a quick bite, a scorpion bowl and a leisurely walk home in the pitch dark we were home safe and sound. A knight in shining armor came to pick us up but apparently we had already stumbled home safely and he missed us. I need to work on my timing I guess.
