Friday night we talked all about
S'mores and having a fire with our friends. Oh, fun. Then we looked at the grey clouds and wind coming in. So much for that idea. Ava and Olivia came up with this idea instead. (Note the rain boots tucked under the camping chair.) While Livy and Nana ran off to get marshmallows Ava and I started the fire. Turned out to be a great and delicious time!

Today I packed the car with a cooler, beach toys and beach chairs and picked up the girls. We headed to Old Silver Beach, only to find a sign stating $20 and beach people mulling about.
WTF!!! No surprise the lot was about a quarter full. No lifeguard signs are also posted so we want your money to park but we aren't saving your life! I did not buy a beach sticker yet as I was putting it off for a few weeks.
Instead we headed to Goodwill Park-not a beach but they had fun and I actually got to read a bit and my shoulders are tan-*smile*

Now-Thank you
Facebook-I find out that Old Silver was the ONLY beach charging and we could have gone to
Woodneck-my all time favorite beach! Damn it!
After a few hours we headed home for some odds and ends before work and the kids got to play camping while I did one last rinse of the deck. Crossed fingers that I can get the deck done tomorrow. I really want to get this done before the weekend and the kids won't be home to trample on the deck until after school Wednesday.

I did also manage to get the veggies in the ground and all is well so far. My list of things to get done before Saturday is as long as my arm but slow and steady I will work on that this week. It will not make a great week of reading but I hope to share stories and photos of the fantastic party on Sunday.
