Today is the day and I almost forgot. I had weight loss surgery 2 years ago today. WOW! It doesn't seem like it has been 2 years but it also seems like a long time since I looked like this picture above. I should have taken my picture today but as I said I forgot. Maybe I will try to do it tomorrow just for comparison.
I started this journey at 306 lbs and got down to 288 the day of surgery after losing the required 17 lbs. I got quickly to 171 by November and stayed there for about a year. Since this Fall I have bounced back to around 185 and it is like cement and not going anywhere. It is a well known fact that most people bounce and put back on weight, I think it is usually around 10%.
Do I regret having the surgery??
No but I do grow tired of it somedays. I have to think of food more but eat less and that is tough on me. I think it has effected the way my kids eat for the good and bad. I am still learning.
Oh did I mention it is Girl Scout Cookie time-Good Time NOT have RNY surgery.
